When you become aware of severe weather potentionally threatening Bedford County, tune your AM radio to WLIJ 1580 and listen for

announcements regarding shelter opening You may also call 684-5974 to learn of possible shelter openings or locations.

WHERE TO GO - CHURCH STORM SHELTERS

Twelve churches open their facilities, and staff these Bedford County Severe Weather Shelters when directed to by the Emergency

management Agency. The shelter locations are listed below.

WHAT TO BRING - TO THE STORM SHELTER

You may be in the shelter for several hours. Remember to bring your required prescribed medicines! Medical information

regarding and specific personal affliction. Management items for your moderate sized [non aggressive] pet.

City and county law enforcement officers make periodic security checks at the shelters.
